Greetings all, the Linwood Rugby League Club are pleased to announce that we will be running a "Pick the winners" competition. All you need to do is email your picks for each bout through to this email (au@aranui-high.school.nz) and hold onto your halved ticket from the event. This competition is exclusive to attendees only of the event.

The most successful entry will win a $100 Palms mall voucher otherwise there will be a draw held at CRFL headquarters if there is a number of tied entries. This competition is now officially open and will close on the 19th of February at 5pm.

If there is any re-scheduling of fights you will be able to re-submit your entry. 1 entry per ticketholder & email address.

The fights are listed below. Best of luck. Also feel free to post your predictions on here to help those spectators out there who are "on the fence." Let the banter begin!

1st up, no disrespect to anyone here... you guys are awesome for stepping up and stepping in...

Bam Bam to win his..

Tough call... Vinnie is a hard nut thats for sure... will call this super-duper (sorry boys) heavyweight bout a draw...

Kasi v Alex will be a cracker... I seen Kasi in town and man he has fast hands!!!! Kasi to win

JJ - in the first... but the longer the fight goes, Agaese will have he fitness... another tough call

Jaye to win this due to experience... but do us Rangas proud Alex!!

Is there anything Baxy cant do?? Cricket, League now boxing... anohter tough one... Will pick Baxy

Power fight the next one... I dont think there will be much footwork involved in this fight... Matt to win... maybe...

Joe to win the next bout... will be a blockbuster though

Phil v Weasel... the Fly-weights... will be quick... blink and you might miss it... I think Phil should win but Weasel is a tough lil fire crouch... maybe the red will see him through??

Tali should win... experience etc...

and Mo to take out the battle of the refs..... I mean the Coach vs the Ref fight... I reckon Mo could still be playing/reffing prems!!! The competitive streak will get him through easily!!

Well theres a few fence sitting calls!! hahhaa

all the best to all involved!!! Well done Linwood... hopefully an annual event!!

Agaese Fiso (Keas) vs Tyrone Edmonds (Tigers)*

Rakatau Rawiri (Keas) vs Kasi Leka (Lions)*

We tried to get a Hornet to fight but apparently their focus is only on footy this year or something along those lines. We had a couple of guys from their lined up but they pulled plug.

We (Keas) are very thankful to those fighters that have put the hard yards in and the clubs who are supporting this unique event on the Canterbury Rugby League calendar. See you all on Saturday night!

Congratulations to current Auckland Vulcans squad member and NZ Domestic player of the year for 2009, Johnny Aranga who is the winner of the boxing picks competition. Johnny picked a total of 8/8 correct. Weasel and Phil's fight was disregarded due to weasel's withdraw at late notice.
